You have all of this element, so it’s time to combine. In a big bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, powdered gum base, corn syrup, cornstarch and vegetable glycerin (if using it). Once your ingredients are all mixed together, it is time to melt your mixture. This step will require a double boiler. Once you’ve incorporated your flavors, it’s time to shape your gum. Roll the gum mixture with a rolling pin to a thin sheet. And make sure it’s even so that each piece is the same. Once you roll it out, use a knife or cookie cutter and cut the gum into small pieces. You can make them about the size of gum you find in stores, so they’re easy to chew.
